THE SWINGING SIXTIES REVEALED 1967-68
U.K. Excellent quality. Widescreen. Rare and fascinating celebrity interviews and awesome 1960s pop culture film footage.

In 1967-68, Bernard Braden, a well-known British TV personality, produced and filmed (at his own expense) 376 interviews on color film of public personalities for a television series to be called, "Now and Then." The idea was that three years later he would again interview his subjects to see how their views had changed.

But the series was never completed and the unseen films were "lost" for generations. Now, these films represent a time capsule and a view of British pop culture in the swinging sixties.

His subjects talked about the popular issues of the day: music, movies and fashion; the pop, teen and celebrity culture; sex and drugs; politics and protest, multiculturalism, and they talked about themselves, their hopes and ambitions and their predictions for the future.

The interviews are interspersed with gorgeous 60s pop culture film footage. If you're a fan of 60s British pop culture, this is a must see.

Interviewees include: Cilla Black, Sean Connery, Tom Jones, Sylvia Sims, Lulu, Richard Lester, Davy Jones, Haley Mills, Lynn and Vanessa Redgrave, Sammy Davis Jr., Quincy Jones, Spike Milligan, Maureen Lipman, Simon Dee, Os Clark, Quentin Crisp, Robert Maxwell, Ronnie Scott, Enoch Powell and others.
