HONKY 1971
U.S. film. Brenda Sykes stars as "Sheila" a 17-year old, super-cute, afro-styled, pot smoking, drug dealing, teenage juvenile delinquent. John Neilson stars as Wayne, her white-honky boyfriend. Back in 1971 a teenage interracial relationship was something that got people's attention and this film pushes quite a few buttons.

Sheila asks for Wayne's help in scoring some grass. After copping the weed, the couple gets into a car wreck. They split the scene, pack their bags and hit the road west to California. On their way they come across racist, hillbilly rednecks and things become downright grim for the couple.

Soundtrack music by Quincy Jones. Billy Preston: "Hey Girl." The Capers: "Out There." Birch Corral: "Train Whistle." Carlton Dinnall: "Something More." In addition to pimps, transvestites and funky music, you'll get down with '70s hip-talk like, outasite, dig-it, bring down, hung up, and man!

Brenda Sykes gets semi-nude. Watching Marion Ross (Mrs. Cunningham from Happy Days) say "coons" is very weird. Brenda Sykes, John Neilson, Maia Danziger, Lincoln Kilpatrick, John Lasell, William Marshall, John Fiedler, Marion Ross, John Hillerman, Matt Clark.

Plus this bonus selection...
