CULT OF THE DAMNED (a.k.a. ANGEL, ANGEL DOWN WE GO) 1969
U.S. film. Excellent quality. Widescreen letterbox. Hollywood, rock and roll and decadence! A rock and roll group, The Rabbit Habit, (with its Jim Morrison-type lead singer) creeps into the lives of a wealthy family resulting in seduction, LSD drug trips, flagellation, kinky sex, Satanism and murder!

One of our favorite lines in the film is during a kissing scene, "Your breath really stinks…I dig it!" 1960s rock and roll songs include "Angel, Angel Down We Go," "Mother Lover," "Hey, Hey, Hey" and "Hi Ho." Songs composed by Brill Building alumni, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil.

Produced by Jerome F. Katzman, son of legendary movie schlockmeister Sam Katzman. Jordan Christopher, Holly Near, Jennifer Jones, Roddy McDowall, Lou Rawls, Charles Aidman, Davey Davison, Marty Brill. Cult Of The Damned is the companion film to, "Wild in the Streets."

Note: Jordan Christopher was in the NYC rock group, "The Wild Ones" who in 1966 were the first group to record the 1960's classic, "Wild One" later made famous by The Troggs. Holly Near is a folk singer, women's rights activist and is still active in 2014. She got her start in a 1969 TV episode of, "The Mod Squad."

Plus this bonus selection...

GET SMART 1968
U.S. TV show. Jan-13-68. "The Groovy Guru." Max and 99 go full out mod! Chaos' underground DJ transmits live rock 'n' roll by the group, "The Sacred Cows." (The Beautiful Daze.) Their music is more than hip—it's hypnotic—and turns all the teenagers into dancing zombies so Chaos can use them to wreak havoc. Larry Storch (F-Troop) is the Groovy Guru! Barry Newman. Tons of very mod and psychedelic references. The Sacred Cows perform, "Kill, Kill, Kill."
